El Gobierno de España decreta el estado de alarma nacional para frenar la expansión del coronavirus
El gobierno Español ha anunciado este viernes en una declaración institucional que decreta el estado de alarma nacional, para centralizar la toma de decisiones y poder limitar los movimientos de los ciudadanos y clausurar industrias y comercios.
El presidente del Gobierno, Pedro Sánchez, ha decretado el estado de alarma en toda España para frenar la expansión del coronavirus. Con esta decisión, el Ejecutivo centraliza la toma de decisiones y puede limitar los desplazamientos de los ciudadanos y adoptar medidas extraordinarias como el cierre de establecimientos y empresas.
El estado de alarma faculta al Gobierno para asumir una serie de decisiones para atajar la crisis y adoptar las siguientes medidas: limitar la circulación o permanencia de personas o vehículos en horas y lugares determinados; practicar requisas temporales de todo tipo de bienes e imponer prestaciones personales obligatorias; intervenir y ocupar transitoriamente industrias, fábricas, talleres, explotaciones o locales de cualquier naturaleza, con excepción de domicilios privados; limitar o racionar el uso de servicios o el consumo de artículos de primera necesidad; e impartir las órdenes necesarias para asegurar el abastecimiento de los mercados y el funcionamiento de los servicios y de los centros de producción.
El estado de alarma se aplicará inicialmente por un plazo de 15 días que puede ser prorrogado por el Congreso de los Diputados. La medida había sido reclamada por varios gobiernos autonómicos y diversos partidos de la oposición, y es similar a la que han adoptado los gobiernos de otros países, como Italia, Corea del Sur, y esta misma mañana en Portugal.
El presidente Pedro Sánchez, no lo descartó ayer en la rueda de prensa que ofreció en La Moncloa, después del Consejo de Ministros extraordinario, que aprobó un «primer paquete» de medidas sanitarias y económicas. Uno de los supuestos que recoge la ley para decretar el estado de alarma es precisamente las «crisis sanitarias, tales como epidemias y situaciones de contaminación graves«.
Cabe señalar, que España es el segundo país de Europa con 4.209 personas infectadas y ya son 120 los fallecidos por el Covid-19, por detrás de Italia (15.100 personas), Alemania (2.512) y Francia (2.876). La cifra de fallecidos por el Covid-19 en todo el mundo supera ya los 5.000.
